The Old Chapel was perfect for our last minute mid-week getaway. It was extremely clean, very spacious and seems to be recently renovated throughout, with beautiful slate floors on the ground floor. We enjoyed browsing the maps and guides Sarah left out and also made use of the DVD collection one evening. :-) The house sits in a little valley with a securely fenced small gravel yard surrounding it, one neighbor, and fields with grazing sheep just out the windows. With windows on all sides, there was nice sunshine streaming in both the morning and evening. There are footpaths from the door where you can walk the dog and there was a little treat for our pup when we arrived too! The Tytherleigh Arms pub is a 5 minute drive - we went for dinner one evening and would highly recommend it (great atmosphere delicious food and friendly staff). We also visited beautiful Forde Abbey (10 mins) and the beach and shops at Lyme Regis (20 mins). It was a great break!

We had a lovely long weekend at the Old Chapel with our two young children. The cottage is lovely and peaceful - the children enjoyed seeing the sheep in the field next door! Sarah was very helpful leaving everything we needed for our stay and communicating with us before we arrived. The fresh flowers and well stocked kitchen were a nice surprise! We have family in the area and will definitely be recommending this place to others!

We had a lovely stay at the Old Chapel. It was on a country lane, but so easy to find, and parking was fine. The property was beautiful, with some lovely features, the windows were amazing, everything you could need, and lovely and clean. My 2 year old loved it, you could see sheep from the windows, and they provided the perfect travel cot and high chair. Lots of space inside, open and airy. We will definitely be back to stay again.

What a lovely place! A peaceful setting in the country side. Lovely well finished home with generous space inside. Handy little welcome brochure sent via email and on hand in the property along with handy maps and suggestions of places to go. House was very warm which was great considering the cold weather and frost and the stone flooring warmed up too! Overall, all that is needed for a short stay. Easy access by car to Axminster and onwards to Lyme Regis or further afield to Weymouth. Handy to have a driveway too!
