Further west from Dunvegan is the township of Glendale and the most northwesterly point on the Island, Neist Point Lighthouse, being one of the most visited landmarks in the whole of Scotland. Being a tourist favourite, it certainly is worth the visit, as are the Fairy Pools just outside the village of Uig, the Quirrang, the Old Man of Storr and the dinosaurs’ footprints, all of which are in the north of the island. Bring your bikes and enjoy an early morning cycle or your kayak and you can go from the neighbouring croft into the loch. There are restaurants within a 15-mile radius of The Cabin, which all boast unique features along with having high ratings. If you wish to visit the Outer Isles, you are only a 20-minute drive from Uig and if you are looking for a smaller Island you have the Isle of Raasay with a 10-minute ferry crossing!
