The Farmer's Wife Inn is a bed & breakfast located on a 38 acre farm, only 4 miles from the Cumberland Falls. Your stay will include a made from scratch breakfast every morning. Our farmhouse was built in 2022. We live downstairs and run the bed & breakfast. We have 4 guestrooms for rent, 3 upstairs and 1 downstairs. You'll be staying in 'The Garden', this is our garden themed room. The Garden has 1 California King bed, a private attached bathroom with a walk in shower, a corner jacuzzi tub, and a private entrance from the wrap around deck. The room includes a small fridge, a microwave, and a coffee station. Your room will also have an interior door leading to the downstairs living and dining room area which is a shared space for our guests and ourselves. Our 38 acre farm includes 15 acres of open pasture, 23 acres of woods, and a pond. We are located in the Daniel Boone National Forest with lots of outdoor fun all around us. Driving distances to nearby attractions: * Cumberland Falls - 7 minutes * Natural Arch - 16 minutes * Big South Fork Scenic Railway - 20 minutes * Princess Falls - 26 minutes * Laurel River Lake - 40 minutes * Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area - 1 hr 15 min * Mammoth Cave National Park - 2 hours

Great, out of the way, peaceful place to visit. The hosts were tremendously friendly and eager to help. They are eager to invest in the community and help others see the beauty of this area. The food was absolutely delicious!
Spent 2 very relaxing and enjoyable days at Shari’s B&B. She and her husband - along with their adorable cats - were great hosts. Very quiet and remote location, but great hikes are only a short drive away. Bring your appetite, Shari does an amazing breakfast.
We had a wonderful weekend at Shari’s place. Shari and her husband were excellent hosts. We appreciated all the special touches they provided. They made us feel right at home. If you are in the area, we would highly recommend them.
The decor to the Bed and Breakfast had a chic farmhouse, feel. The home is new construction and was very clean and comfortable. Our room was sweet and romantic, and had the necessities along with lots of personal touches. Our hosts were able to provide information about some of the local hiking trails that helped us decide how to plan our day. And, of course, we had a substantial home-cooked breakfast that was not only delicious, but fostered fellowship among the hosts, and the other guests. I would definitely stay here again.

Our farm is located on a quiet country road in South Central Kentucky with several local farms in the neighborhood. The closest gas station and mini mart is 7 minutes away, with a larger grocery and pharmacy 16 minutes away.
We live in a rural area and a vehicle is required to get around. There is no public transportation or Uber available.

Keith is from WA, Shari from NY. We met volunteering on a farm in Oregon. We left the fast paced modern life to build a new one in the peaceful country. We enjoy cooking, hiking, gardening, and campfires.
