Relax at this peaceful cottage on Miles Pond in rural northeastern Vermont. Merrivale Cottage is a few steps from the waterfront. You can put a canoe or kayak in the water, swim or fish directly in front of this cottage. You are welcome to use the two kayaks that we leave in front of the cottage. Loons nest on the small island in front of this cottage. Loons are a common sight here and relaxing while listening to their call and the sound of the water are pleasures of visiting the cottage. The cottage is located 100 yards from the parking spot down a path that is lit by solar lights. The path crosses railroad tracks that are no longer active. The buildings visible from the parking lot are owned by the host’s family. The internet at this cottage is provided by high speed fiber. The WiFi extends to all the rooms in the cottage and outside.

The place was exactly as shown in photos. It was well equipped with all the amenities that residents need. I would highly recommend Amy's place and will definitely consider again.
We could not have had a more perfect time. The house was so cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Beds were so comfy and view was great! Perfect place to make your home base while taking day trips.

This camp is in the most beautiful place. It is peaceful and quiet. The kayaks were a great way to explore the pond. The camp had every thing we needed. We definitely would like to come back.

This cottage is located 20 minutes from St. Johnsbury Vermont and 30 minutes from Littleton New Hampshire. These towns have nice shops and restaurants that are described in our electronic guestbook. These towns are also good options for finding grocery stores in the area. The excellent theme park for young children, Santa’s Village, is 30 minutes from this cottage.
This cottage is accessed by a well maintained .2 mile gravel road (Loon Lane) which is off of the paved Route 2. Stay right as you travel down the gravel road until it opens into a parking lot. You can park along the fence. The path down to the cottage is in front of the fence. Follow the path of solar lights down the path, across the inactive railroad tracks and through some trees to the collage.
