The house is our family holiday home & is situated in a small commune in the south of the Charente Maritime surrounded by undulating countryside & vineyards. We have lovingly restored it over the last 5 years & the interior is comfortable & functional with both traditional & modern touches. There is a light filled atrium showing the original beams. There is a private courtyard at the rear with parking for 2/3 cars. Our neighbours at the back grow & sell organic vegetables picked daily. Downstairs: fully open plan with a kitchen, dining room and sitting room. Kitchen - Kitchen units are of solid oak with marble worktops. There is a full size fridge with freezer above, gas cooker, microwave, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. Utility Room - Adjoining the kitchen is a utility room housing a washing machine and wine cooler fridge, iron and ironing board. Within this room is a separate toilet and washbasin. Dining Room - Dining table seating 8+ people and under the slope of the stairs is a work station with internet connection. Sitting Room - Behind the central double aspect wood burner is the sitting room with three sofas seating 8 people comfortably, CD player and CDs, blue tooth speakers and shelving with maps, books etc. Front bedroom 1 - King size bed, bedside tables with side lights, chest of drawers, wardrobe. One window to garden. Front bedroom 2 - King size bed, bedside tables with side lights, chest of drawers/cupboard, hanging rail. One window to garden and one to road. Bathroom 1 - Shower, washbasin and toilet. Hairdryer and first aid kit in drawer under basin. Down steps to annexe: Back bedroom 3 - Double bed, bedside tables with side lights, chest of drawers, hanging rail. One window to rear and Velux window. Bathroom 2 - Shower, washbasin and toilet. Hairdryer in drawer under basin. Games Room/Back bedroom 4 - Full size table tennis table. Day bed converting to two single beds or one double. Garden: There is a large gravelled area outside the house with a lower grassed area running down to a small stream and a grassy embankment to the side alongside the country road.
