We had a wonderful stay st this beautifully situated house. Joanne and Michael are exceptionally considerate hosts. Joanne went out of her way to provide everything to make our stay welcoming, warm and comfortable. Working “from home” in such a peaceful location was an amazing experience. So many pleasant distractions - a few hares hopping past the window, a pheasant crowing behind the house, an incredible amount of birds, especially finches flying around - it was just perfect. The area is stunningly scenic and because it’s remote, it feels so authentic. On our walks, we saw new lambs in every field. I think this would be a great stay for families. Children would really enjoy the outdoor space and learning about all the animals. We would not hesitate to recommend this house to all those who love nature, long walks, wildlife and the good food which can be bought nearby.

Tranquil is exactly the right word for this place. It’s beautiful and so quiet. Everything feels like a hotel but better - absolutely spotless with the fluffiest towels and a lovely welcome. There’s games, books and TV/ dvds for rainy days. And loads of info about what to do locally. Joanne is extremely helpful and responsive to messages. She’s thought of everything to make your stay extra special. I would very much recommend the Tranquil Mountain Retreat and hope to be back in the future.

We had a relaxing stay at Joanne’s accommodation, it is spotlessly clean, well equipped, and with courtesy milk and eggs, it is very comfortable and the natural environmental surroundings are stunning, hares, lambs and other wildlife in the garden and rural area, a unique stay, and we hope to return in the future. Joanne was very helpful, thank you.

brilliant & peaceful stay ✌️ Joannes place was absolutely that it was described as & more. A beautiful tranquil place set so gorgeous in the hills. So private & peaceful it really is a gorgeous place to spend a few days away. The setting was so secluded & peaceful its ideal to base yourself for a while to enjoy all the trails & beautiful locations that west cork has to offer. Joanne's house was immaculate & one of the best equipped Air BnB's we've stayed in. As well as that, there was so much for the kids, a whole press of toys & books as well as some in the garage, it was brilliant & is such a great idea especially for people coming to stay with young kids, not only saves the hassle for having to bring toys but also keeps them entertained , so such a great idea thank you 👍 Great hosts, non intrusive but always contactable. would definitely stay again thanks

Tranquil Mountain Farmhouse is amazing. It’s tucked away down a long country lane , surrounded by forests, fields and sheep . All you hear are the sounds of nature and all you see is fields and mountains , absolute heaven. Joanne provides everything you need during your stay . All you need to bring are your favourite food and drink ,from the local shop down the road or the massive lidl roughly 20 minutes drive away towards Bantry. Joanne provides milk , biscuits , tea and coffee and little extras , which is so good to have after a long drive ! We will be returning !! A definite 10/10 experience . Thank you Joanne
