The Laundry is a self-contained studio, with its own front door, at the end of our 16th century home. Combining the traditional and the modern, it has been lovingly restored to create a deeply peaceful space, with original art and books, and set amongst gardens and fields. There is a king-size bed with luxurious pocket-sprung mattress and pure linen/cotton bedding. It has its own private patio with BBQ, sink and fire bowl, parking and fast wifi. There is also a fridge, toaster and kettle. The Laundry is a private and spacious, high ceilinged studio, with separate wc and wet room. We provide a fridge, toaster, kettle and teas and coffee. While there aren't any cooking facilities, we are very happy to warm up food for you. With notice, we can also provide supper or a continental breakfast for an extra charge. The table is extendable and there are usb charger ports and wifi. Outside, there is a private patio for your exclusive use, as well as our garden which you are welcome to use. A croquet set is available!

We had an excellent stay here. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The location is great too - really peaceful and picturesque. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with. Just what we wanted!

Beautiful 4day stay, as a Birthday retreat. Close to the city Bath which we explored for hours, beautiful Iford Manor Gardens, Shepton Antiques market plus great local villages to explore & eat, all enjoyed in the late summer sunshine. Loved our whole time at the Laundry, immersed in their garden & breakfast ate outside… just perfect for us. Thank-you to our lovely host & family xx

The Laundry is in a sleepy hamlet on a no-through road. It is surrounded by gardens and fields and with views of our neighbouring church.
There are footpaths from the door. Frome is an 8-minute drive away. The famous Frome Independent Market is first Sunday of the month (March-December) and well worth building a weekend around. Frome also has an independent cinema, a big music scene and wonderful independent shops.
Bruton, Hauser and Wirth and The Newt are 10-20 minutes away and Bath is a half an hour drive. Glastonbury is also half an hour away, as is Wells and its incredible cathedral. Longleat is 15 minutes away and Stonehenge about 40.
There are fantastic places to eat nearby, from Michelin restaurants to pubs to pizza. There are also ample places to pick up delicious things to bring back and eat here – farm shops, delis, artisan bakeries. We are also within UberEats reach of Frome if you would like to kick back and get food delivered.

Off-road parking is free and plentiful.
We are a 10-minute drive from Frome where there are buses and trains to Bath and Bristol.
There are quiet lanes for cycling very nearby and footpaths from the door.
