If you're looking for somewhere rustic, down-to-earth, and cozy to take a break from crazy city living, this is the place for you. My friends and I stayed here over a long weekend to get a break from work, and we had a wonderful time. The few things that were slightly less-than-perfect (like the non-potable tap water and the out-of-order tub) were talked about in the house description, so there were no surprises! The beds are HEAVENLY, best mattress and pillows I've ever known. We had tons of fun on the lake, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, and the wifi was great so some of us could do work if needed! The kitchen is fully stocked with tons of dishes ad cookware, so we had everything we needed for huge meals every day! The only thing that was missing from the kitchen was a set of large chefs knives, which did make chopping a little difficult. But all in all, we had a wonderful experience.

Absolutely beautiful location, very secluded lot on a beautiful lake at the end of a very long narrow dirt road (kind of spooky arriving at night). House was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. There were 2 paddle boards and a canoe for use and a fire pit down by the lake’s edge. Heather was very responsive from start to finish. Would definitely stay again and recommend

Heather's spot is amazing. Everything was easy to follow. Loved how close it was to the lake – we had a blast every second there. The bed and pillows were super comfy. If you're coming with 8 folks, just remember there's one full bathroom downstairs. But overall, place is great. It's even better in person than in the photos.

We had a fantastic stay - amazing place at an amazing spot, right on the lake, which is just gorgeous and couldn't be easier to access. Heather even made her canoe and paddle board available - super generous and appreciated! We grilled on the gas grill and in the evenings spent hours by the fire pit with sunset view. On the inside, everything was perfect and well stocked - we didn't miss anything. Also appreciated that the place wasn't just tidy and spotless, but linens, rugs, towels, couches, etc. were also clean & fresh. Everything was well organized and communicated and we felt perfectly taken care of.

A welcome note, awesome views of the lake, and so much attention to detail throughout the camp, once unpacked we felt right at home. We stayed 6 nights, eating all meals at camp except for a birthday dinner at the Lake House 15 min away. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, etc., you only need to bring food. The grill was used many times along with the outdoor seating. Had many puzzles, games and books to enjoy. The two queen beds were very comfortable, plenty of blankets and pillows. With the strong WIFI, my husband and I worked remotely, but admit it was hard sometimes as we were constantly watching the many boaters and kayakers. We also enjoyed the water with our sailboat, the camp's canoe, paddleboats and many floats. Heather has made this Private Oasis a wonderful get away. It was sad when we had to leave, but we will be back another time.
