Turned up at the property and there was someone else staying there… phone number was turned off. Left us with no where to stay 150 miles away from home. Took the money now we have to wait 15 days for a refund and had to find somewhere else to stay. No correspondence at all I would avoid booking here altogether

Nice beginning of stay However, the stay took a turn for the worse on day 3. The key to the flat had been misplaced and we requested a replacement key. James organised a key replacement and changed the lockbox code. James asked for a bank transfer, I had asked to process the payment through Airbnb (resolution center) he declined this method and only demanded a bank transfer despite this the resolution center being listed in Airbnb terms of use. We posted evidence of bank transfer but it was past the banking window so money would land the following morning. James withheld the new code until past midnight after I contacted Airbnb support. All of our belongings and money was in the house and we couldn’t get access till 1am despite sending proof of transfer. Airbnb suggested he post the request for money through Airbnb as I originally requested. James apologised the next day and noted he had received the money as explained prior. Overall nice property but badly managed.
