The Annexe is in a quiet location, just outside St. Austell town centre, <4 miles from beautiful sandy beaches & the stunning South Coast path. It’s close to walking/cycling routes along old china clay trails too, & not far from The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens Of Heligan, plus famous Harbour villages:- Mevagissey, Charlestown, Fowey & Looe, with their abundance of eateries & artisan craft shops. The North coast isn’t far away either, with its surfing beaches & towns like Padstow & St. Ives The Annexe is a totally self-contained, quiet & private space, adjoining our home in a no-through, private lane. Our bijou Annexe is ideally suited to couples or friends who are happy to share the double bed (see note re. sofa bed below *) The Annexe has an airy open plan format, with a bespoke furniture unit separating the sleep area from the living & dining areas. The decor has a beautifully welcoming coastal theme and the whole space has been decorated and renovated in early 2023. Fixtures & fittings are all excellent quality and the kitchen is fully equipped with all essential cookware, crockery, cutlery & utensils, plus a few extras. The dining area may also be used as a remote working space & the Wi-Fi is excellent. REVIEWS ======= As we are new to Airbnb (July 2023) & haven’t yet had enough bookings to achieve Airbnb’s Superhost status, I’ve included in the photos, reviews left for us in our Guest Book, by people who booked directly. They are all 5* reviews. *PLEASE NOTE - RE. SOFA BED - it’s a double bed size, so does use a lot of the space in the living room, but guests can still walk around it & access steps to the garden. - switching use from bed to sofa (& vice versa) is simple, but we will demonstrate how this is done, as part of your check-in, if you intend to use it as a bed. - we have a storage cupboard for bedding when the sofa bed is not in use.
The Annex was beautiful, so clean, so peaceful. Sheryl was an incredible host, very quick to respond to messages and went above and beyond to help us as much as possible when we had trouble with our public transportation to St Austell. We couldn’t recommend The Annex more if we tried - we had a wonderful time.
I enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Annexe. It was very clean and comfortable with absolutely everything I needed during my stay. It is close to the train and bus stations at St Austell so very convenient for guests using public transport. Sheryl is a very kind and thoughtful host and has made the accomodation a delightful and relaxing place for guests to stay. I am definitely hoping to return to The Annexe again.
Sheryl was great and very friendly. Explained how to get to the property clearly so it was easy to follow. The property was incredible, cosy, clean and very private - she provided some bits for us as well for tea and coffee and a little hamper. Lots of leaflets around for local things to do. Would definitely stay again!
Fantastic place to stay in addition to being close to some of the loveliest places in Cornwall and the beaches, it’s dog friendly. Very clean and tidy accommodation with additional items for the dogs. Lovely welcome - treats for all. Both Sheryl and Kevin were really friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend this accommodation and visit again.
Me and my mum had a wonderful weekend at The Annexe! We had everything we could need and more. We loved how well designed the space was and all the beautiful touches. We felt right at home and we both had two nights of comfortable sleep. The Annexe is in a great location and we were able to see lots of Cornwall. Sheryl is an incredible host she was very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We greatly appreciated the flexibility with checking in and out. Sheryl has gone above and beyond to reunite us with an item we left behind. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to visit again.
The Annexe is located in a private lane (No through road) approx 1 mile from St. Austell Town Centre. It’s a quiet location, yet within a few minutes drive of supermarkets and other essential retail stores.
St. Austell train station is also a short distance away.
St. Austell town centre, railway station & bus station are all a short distance from The Annexe.
The town has a spacious main car park (The Priory Car Park), which is walking distance from the centre of town.

I live with my partner (& co-host) Kevin & our dog, Jakey; we enjoy visits from my grown up daughters who love visiting us in South Cornwall. Coastal walks & exploring local gardens is our favourite thing to do. I enjoy cooking, spending time with friends & being creative (mostly decoupage on slate & card making). I’m a dog lover, with a particular love of Border Terriers & I am young at heart, with a good sense of humour.
