Welcome to the peaceful Shino Room at Byool Farm, where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy modern amenities amidst a serene and natural setting. Our ground-floor accommodation is made of earth bags, wood, and slate, and tastefully decorated to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay. As soon as you step inside, you'll find a comfortable queen-size bed and modern amenities such as air conditioning, heating, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The room also features a study table, almirah, and a separate entrance. It has a spacious attached bathroom with a shower and round-the-clock access to hot and cold water to ensure a comfortable stay. For those seeking more space, you can climb up to the mezzanine level via a ladder to find an additional floor mattress and unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. The loft space is ideal for the winters, as it can get pretty hot in the summers. Please note that the ladder may not be suitable for all guests. This room can accommodate up to three guests (including the loft space). Guests are welcome to use the shared dining area and library filled with books to unwind as they take in the beautiful scenery. AROUND THE FARM # Nearby Excursions: Take advantage of our farmstay's convenient location and embark on nearby excursions. * Local attractions within 20-30 minutes drive include the Norbulingka Institute, Dolmaling Nunnery, the famous Chamunda Temple and the Aghanjar Mahadev Temple. Dharamshala and McLedoganj, the tourist spots, are about 30 to 45 minutes away from the farm. * Tea Tours: Wah Tea Estate is barely 40 minutes away near Palampur. Avail of the guided tour of the tea plantations and their tea processing unit. Tea tasting is also included. You can also relish the traditional Himachali Dham at the tea garden cafe. * Bir: Make a day trip to Bir (about 1hr 45 min away), the best place for para gliding in India. It is also home to a Tibetan refugee settlement with several Buddhist monasteries. You could also go cafe hopping to try the multi-cuisine options available. Car on rent can be arranged. MEALS: Savour veg/non-veg meals using farm produce. Breakfast is complimentary, and lunch and dinner are available for an additional fee. We don't have a menu, and the day's breakfast and dinner options depend on what we've harvested recently from our farm. 
Let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions in advance. We understand that food plays a big role in creating shared memories. We can also curate a theme meal for our guests, served in our own beautiful Cold Mountain pottery serve-ware (for an additional charge). Themes can be from a traditional Himachali dham, or an evening of open BBQ, or an authentic South Indian meal or a continental spread. If interested, please book in advance, so that preparations can be made. Each room is equipped with a kettle, as well as a selection of tea and coffee. You'll have everything you need to enjoy a warm and refreshing beverage at your convenience. Our cook is available should you have any special requirements, kindly convey the same to him. If you wish to use the kitchen, just check with us beforehand, so availability can be made. Guests can order via Zomato or through local eateries that deliver to the farm. Note - Since we are a fully functional farm, we don't serve tea or coffee etc. during the day. We request guests to help themselves for such things. CLEANING & LAUNDRY: Our staff cleans the room daily and provides fresh linens at check-in, which are replaced every fourth day. If you require laundry services, kindly use the laundry bag provided and hand it over to our staff. Additional charges will apply. CONNECTIVITY: We understand that being connected is important, so we offer excellent high-speed WiFi connection that covers the entire farm. In case of power outages, we have backup power for essential devices like mobile phones, laptops and basic lights. PARKING: Convenient on-site parking is provided at our property. Please be aware that the access road from the main route is narrow, requiring cautious navigation for larger vehicles. Rest assured, our attentive staff is readily available to offer any assistance you may require during your stay. Important Notes: # There is no driver or maid accommodation available on the farm. # We kindly request our guests to respect the environment by refraining from disposing of plastic, engaging in loud music or drunken behavior. # Overnight stays by any visitors are not permitted. # We urge you to use water and energy conservatively. # During extreme weather conditions such as thunderstorms, there may be some leaves and water droplets in certain areas due to the slated roof. Although rare, this can occur in mountainous regions. Our staff will be available to assist you during such instances. # Being a farm, it is possible to encounter some insects and other small creatures on the property. # We have five friendly dogs on the farm who are unlikely to bother you, but kindly don't expect them to be kept tied up in their own home.
