Pet friendly, diverse, older tree-lined neighborhood with continuous sidewalks and a park nearby as well as several restaurants within walking and biking distance. Walking distance to Washburn University.
This is not your suburban sprawl tract home kind of neighborhood. There is a diversity of homes, people and incomes. To the west you get further into the heart of College Hill and Boswell Park. Head south and you are soon to Washburn University where you can check out the Japanese gardens and new Law School. Head north two blocks and you will find the newly built 12th street with a multi-use path.
We have owned this house for over 5 years, 4 years full-time and now part-.time, find it quiet, quirky and friendly. The neighbors are often on their porches and sometimes there are basketball games in the street during the summer. Neighborhood kids play at Boswell park When I stay here for my in-office days in downtown Topeka, I am able to easily ride my bike to and from work.

Biking and walking around Topeka has gotten nicer with the side paths and improved paved off-street trails. Public transit available through Topeka Metro.
On-street and off-alley backyard parking available.
Driving anywhere in Topeka is pretty easy with little traffic.
