Pendine Sands and its fabulous 7-mile sandy beach has for generations attracted holidaymakers with a unique selling point of still being able to drive a car on the beach and as being a mecca for world-breaking speed attempts (cars to motorbike to sheds!) Pendine Sands ranks among Wales' finest.
In recent years, the resort has benefitted from a multi-million-pound regeneration. Already completed is a traffic free 500m promenade overlooking and giving easy access to the beach, a beach-facing commercial centre (Parry Thomas Centre) that is fully let with businesses ranging from kayak hire, coffee and ice cream to a hugely popular first-floor Asian Fusion restaurant.
Guests can enjoy long days flying kites, crafting sandcastles and playing water sports while being close enough to enjoy other sights in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
Local Attractions-
Morfa Bay Adventure- one of Wales' leading outdoor pursuits
providers, providing adventure activities for all ages and abilities across Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. The centre is situated in Pendine and they provide numerous activities at the centre itself, such as high
ropes, caving, climbing, abseiling, archery, sea kayaking, land yachting and lots more. The centre is open all year round.
Marros Riding Centre- is a family owned & run business in Pendine providing horse riding for everyone. Activities range from toddler taster sessions to beach riding.
Laugharne is a short 10-minute drive from Pendine, this picture postcard town is not to be missed. Famously known for its association with Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Here, you can stroll around the town or explore Laugharne castle. There are also plenty of places to enjoy a meal. A cake and a cup of tea are a must at Dylan Thomas' boat house with stunning views overlooking the estuary.
A little further along the coast, you will uncover the harbour village of Saundersfoot, where you can enjoy early morning freshly brewed coffee, while admiring the view, here you will find a host of restaurants focusing on fresh line-caught fish and local organic produce.
Tenby can also be reached within half an hours drive from Pendine. With colourful villas, a bijou harbour and an assortment of beaches, Tenby is worth a day visit to explore the many small shops and beautiful beaches.
If you are looking for a little more adventure, within a 30 minutes’ drive you have access to Wales largest theme park Oakwood, and next door is the Blue Lagoon Water Park.
Elsewhere, the kids can meet enchanting animals at Manor Wildlife Park and Folly Farm.
Supermarkets- There are supermarkets within Pendine and these can be accessed on foot (approx 500 yards away)
Places to eat and drink- Pendine has many options for eating and drinking out which include pubs, restaurants, cafes and a Chinese takeaway (approx 500 yards away)

Although the apartment is within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants, a car is desirable for those that wish to explore the surrounding area.
The apartment benefits from hilltop views and as such the walk down may be steep for some, therefore a car may be preferable to use for those that may struggle with the walk down from and up to the apartment.
There is a bus stop in Pendine itself and the nearest train station would be Whitland which is approximately 6 miles from Pendine.
