The location couldn't have been better - just a brief 2-minute walk to the subway, which made exploring the city a breeze. The neighborhood was vibrant, yet tucked away enough to offer a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. The room itself exuded charm and comfort. It was impeccably clean and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The cozy ambiance provided the perfect setting for relaxation. Louise's dedication as a host was remarkable. She not only ensured that all our needs were met but also took the extra effort to show us around the neighborhood. Her local tips and recommendations added an extra layer of authenticity to our trip. In summary, if you're looking for a little haven in the heart of the city with a host who genuinely cares about your experience, look no further. I can't wait to return!

Louise's apartment is a great place to stay if you are planning to visit sites in Brooklyn and/or flying out early in the morning from JFK airport. It is a short walk (~200m) from the Q line subway station and about 1.5km from the F line subway station. By public transport, it took about 45-60 minutes from the apartment to reach the heart of Manhattan. The local area is safe to walk around even in the evenings. There are several supermarkets and restaurants nearby and the Brooklyn Theatre is about 10 minutes walk away. Internally, the apartment is cosy, but well-featured. In my opinion, it is best for stays of a week or less. There is street noise at night and helicopters flying people to JFK pass overhead, so earplugs and an eyemask will help you sleep (what do you expect... you're in NYC!). Kitchen, fridge and bathroom were all very useful. Toilet is beside a frosted window. Bed was comfortable. Host was very helpful, even volunteering useful info We would happily stay here again:-)

Our host, Louise, welcomed us very warmly in NYC. She was always available for all our questions and problems. It was great to have a local like her give us many tips about how to navigate the big city. The apartment was very cosy and clean, and we had everything we needed. All in all, we would definitely visit again and recommend staying with Louise.

The studio has everything you need, in a small cosy space and Louise was a perfect host (along with Elle the Papillon). She has encyclopaedic knowledge of the area and its history but as I was over to visit family in the City I didn't spend much time in Brooklyn. There will be another time. The patio area is also a great place to sit and watch the gentle world of this part of Brooklyn wander past.
