We had a great stay, its the kind of place where you want to get away but you can still drive to get coffee pretty close. It felt like camping but not. So very peaceful and the kids had a great time. I loved that its gated in from the road so we knew the kids were safe. There was plenty for them to do inside and outside. Theres no cable but there are plenty of dvds to play along with games and toys. Overall 10/10, so many things included in the bathroom and kitchen, wood ready by the wood stove and outside for the fire-pit and the host was so sweet and has amazing communication. We stayed the weekend before our wedding with close friends and for fishing and it was a blast.

We stayed for our 2nd annual sister-cousin meet up, and LOVED IT! Our 3 and 5 year olds had a blast. The downstairs had a perfect playroom/bunk room, and came stocked with kids movies and toys. The yard was perfect for hunting Bigfoot, playing soccer, and exploring for bugs and sticks. A peaceful walk to the river had us hunting animal tracks, panning for gold, and enjoying the perfect river. The cabin was cozy and felt like home right away. The oven was a bit testy, but we cooked delicious meals and enjoyed the peaceful quiet of the forest while listening to the fire. It was a great landing pad while we explored the gorge and local waterfalls. The beds were comfy and we all slept so well at night, the sleep you get when you’re nestled in the woods with only the river and sound of wind in trees to serenade you. I could mot recommend this place more, especially for families.

Was a great place to unwind with my son! Cabin has a great energy to it! Tons of hiking and fishing! Wish we could have stayed longer! The host was fantastic in communication.

We had a great peaceful non-eventful time...which is exactly what we were looking for. Pleasantly pleased with the rustic cabin. The surrounding private forest and close proximity to the majestic Wind River was even more of a surprise. Went fishing and chanterelle mushroom foraging on site...success! Make sure to visit Backwood Brewery, ten minutes away, for great beer and food. Bring some kindling or an axe for the wood stove. Great time!
