My wife was attending a conference and we stayed at Elmar and Michelle's carriage house four nights. The metro, which we took from the airport, was 3 blocks away and the convention center about 5 blocks away. We ate at different restaurants in the neighborhood each night. The apartment was located in a perfect spot. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. We made breakfast in the well stocked kitchen each morning (grocery store is 2 blocks away). The bed was comfy and apartment was very clean. The washer and dryer were a bonus. We would definitely stay again next time we are in DC. Thanks!

Located in decent area of DC . Area is very diverse and different from rural Florida … it’s a good spot for seeing the sights. Surprisingly quiet. If we had bikes we could have checked out a lot more in the neighborhood. Beer garden , Coffee shop and Giant Foodstore were very close. If I visit DC again this rental would be my first choice.

Michelle and Elmar could not have been more considerate, more helpful, or more welcoming. We were allowed to store our bags for a few hours before and after our time was up. They were available at any moment to answer questions. We asked for a bath mat, and it was promptly provided. Everything was done in an open, smiling, friendly manner. I felt LUCKY that we found them! :-D I will return there definitely.

Elmer and Michelle's place was absolutely perfect. Me, My husband and my friend was in DC for a few days for a race and I was so lucky to have found this place. It was close to our race and close by all museums and attractions. We literally were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Apart from that I loved the place. It's two story and spacious enough for the three of us. Elmar was very responsive and helpful. My friend tore her jacket and needed a needle and thread so instead of going out to buy one we decided to ask Elmar if he had a sewing kit we can borrow and to my surprise he did and was very quick to get it to us. The place was clean and tidy. check in and check out was seamless. We had no issues at all. I would highly recommend staying here and if I am in DC I will definitely stay here again!! Thank you Elmar and Michelle.
