Directly across is a school yard green space with gorgeous, large trees all along the street. There are two grocery stores, a liquor store and a drug store within walking distance The Space Our semi-detached, high ceiling house has this posh private unit located in the cool, dry basement. With exposed, white painted brick and finished interior details, this guest suite feels bright and wide open. The height of all areas in the unit is 6'10" except bathroom (just in front of the sink and toilet is 6'1" -area under the air return ducts). The kitchenette, with it's crowning accent, has a sink, full size fridge/freezer, toaster oven/air fryer, rice/vegetable steamer, waffle maker, coffee maker and kettle. (There is no oven or cooktop), but the toaster oven is perfect for toast, pizza, etc. The kitchenette contains all the glassware, cups, silverware, plates, bowls, linens, soap and items that you'd need with extra room for any food items you may pick up for your stay. In your fridge upon arrival will be a welcome basket of goodies to keep you going while you visit (including a frozen pizza, yogurt, small cereal, milk, snack bar, a small baguette, butter, jam, coffee for 2 pots, herbal tea & sugar packets). The peninsula counter has 3 cushy stools around it to provide a comfortable place to eat. There is a double love seat and coffee table in front of the electric fireplace with the smart tv and DVD player on top. There is wifi, Bell Fibe TV, Prime, Apple TV and a library of DVDs for your use. There's also a small exercise bike in the unit (but come on...you won't need it after you take in the city!). An empty closet and shelves are at your use as well. The bathroom has a tiled heated floor, 4' wide shower with sliding doors (and great water pressure) and a small shelving rack for your personal items. Towels, hand towels and wash cloths are provided. There are no laundry facilities available, but the Danforth has several laundromats close by if you are in need.
