You can purchase fresh Tamales, Tacos, Champurrado, etc, from our street vendors. We are next to an elementary school on a noisy street. Password: #OaklandVibes This is a minimalist space. Minimalist decor is about creating a serene and uncluttered environment that promotes a sense of calm and well-being. It encourages mindful consumption and focuses on the essentials, allowing individuals to appreciate the beauty of simplicity. With this design, I prioritized natural light. This creates a sense of openness and brings a connection to the outdoors. Window treatments are kept simple, allowing for maximum light penetration. Minimalism emphasizes the importance of decluttering and organizing. Personal belongings are kept to a minimum, and unnecessary items are removed to create a clean and uncluttered space. Storage solutions are often integrated into the design to maintain the minimalist aesthetic.

Ansel does a creative and thoughtful job designing his spaces and this was no exception! My daughter and I had to change spaces at the last minute, but Ansel was accommodating and made it seamless and easy. Although this space wasn’t designed with kids in mind, it worked perfectly! It would also be ideal for a couple, its intended target. It’s an urban escape and has just enough to be comfortable, without being overwhelming/overstimulating.
Ansel and Gloria’s place was beautiful, had a great vibe about it. Ansel was very proactive and generous in helping with anything myself or my daughter needed. Everything was explained in details and looked just like the photos. Definitely gonna stay again!!!
My dog and I had a wonderful and peaceful time at Ansel's space. Ansel is a kind, gracious host and you will definitely be in good hands at either of his spaces. Can't recommend enough!
Enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again when I'm in town. Ansel was a great host and clearly communicated everything prior to check in.
I was there for probably less than 16 hours but it was primely located for my very specific needs - the communication was great and felt well cared for.

Welcome to Deep East Oakland. My neighborhood is home to a large Spanish-speaking population. Minutes from the Oakland Airport and Coliseum. You will be staying in a blue collar area. You may hear loud muscle cars and Harley Davidsons. Down the street and around the corner you will find homeless encampments. They are not on my street, or visible from my home, but they are members of this community. While visiting the bay area, please extend grace to our unsheltered sisters and brothers.
Public transportation is literally 30 yards from my front door (give or take a few yards). Uber/Lyft drivers are minutes away, given our proximity to the airport. The Coliseum BART station is 1.3 miles from my home.

10 min drive to Costco, Walmart, Oak Airport.
25 min drive to Downtown San Francisco (outside of rush hour and weekends)
Public Transportation at Coliseum station- Amtrak, BART, and buses.
