We stayed at the schoolhouse for an impromptu getaway in late February with our dog. Cooper's place was great — we got cozy right away and enjoyed some well-deserved peace and quiet. The property backs up on the Yellowstone Lake State Natural area and we had a great time hiking each day with our dog. I still had work and the Starlink internet worked great — the standing desk and multi-monitor set-up was an unexpected (but very welcome) bonus feature! Thanks for a great week.

The Yellowstone Schoolhouse is a great place to stay. Amenities are all you need for this location. Modern with WiFi, dish network and smart TV in the bedroom. Kitchen very suitable for cooking and the basics (coffee, tea, spices etc) are there. All that plus you are in a valley in the beautiful driftless area. Surrounded by Yellowstone Wildlife area there are endless outdoor options. Depending on the season, hunting (deer and pheasant) fishing, hiking, snowmobiling and trout fishing are all within a 5 minute drive. The host is easy to work with. Would not hesitate to stay anytime of the year.

This would be perfect for a young family. We missed that there was only one bedroom, but we made it work. Private, quiet, spacious, beautiful yard and it was pet-friendly. Right next to Yellowstone Lake State Park - camping with the comforts of home! We were visiting family for Christmas, and it worked perfectly for us, too.

Wonderful place in a beautiful setting. All the amenities and fun decor. Will definitely stay again when in the area!
