We have just returned home from the best weekend staying at Market House! So beautifully decorated! So cosy, with a beautiful outlook on one side - looking out onto the square and on the other looking out to the church green! The beds are sooo comfy too! We had a couple of questions which were kindly and quickly answered! There is lots to do in the area too! We visited beamish which was about and hours drive away which is a must (our second time visiting as we loved it so much) We also visited Alston train station where we took a trip on the steam train - our two little boys adored this! We also visited the church to the back of the house! Everyone was so lovely and welcoming! All in all the best weekend away - Alston really is such a special place and we will definitely be returning and staying at Market House again!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay. It is such a beautiful historic place, with a lot of charm and character. We would definitely come again.

Very quirky apartment in the heart of the village. The living accommodation was good although the shower room and loo were very small. The property would suit a couple perfectly. Very nicely presented, clean with a great kitchen.
