Welcome to the secluded peaceful & modern Seaside Escape at Playa Mar Chiquita. Remodeled & furnished to give you a clean luxurious 5 star experience. Our top floor unit gives unmatched views of the Atlantic & legendary sunsets of Puerto Rico. Its beachfront patio is complete w/ gas grill sink & furniture. The sundeck leads you to an almost private beach while the soft patio lights adorning the tree will keep you under the stars all night. A quiet paradise with Mar Chiquita only steps away. Our beachfront dream space is about 45 minutes from the San Juan International Airport. There are 5 buildings in this development and we are in building #4, the 3rd and top floor, unit #3. When you first walk into the home you are greeted with windows looking over the Atlantic Ocean. The property is newly remodeled with a clean, modern, yet warm feeling. Pictures can not do the property justice! The home has central air and is controlled with a digital smart thermostat. Free WiFi is always provided. Free coffee is also provided. The living room and both bedrooms have large Samsung flat-panel Smart TVs. We're certain you won't spend much time watching the TV, but it's nice to know Netflix is available if you need it! Both bedrooms have new, luxury, queen-sized mattresses and hotel-grade linens. The master bedroom has a large master closet and its own private bathroom. Although the second bathroom is not attached to the second bedroom, it serves as a private bathroom for whoever in your group is staying in the second bedroom. We have a tankless electric water heater, so guests never have to worry about hot water. We've created a beautiful space with our serene beachfront patio and sundeck. This is a private area for our guests only. This area includes a Bull gas grill, a large granite composite sink, a long stone countertop for food prep and placement, high-end Bukatchi patio furniture, and an outdoor shower to wash off the sand when coming back from the beach. We also keep Adirondack sun loungers and footrests on the sundeck where you can truly kick back, relax, and take in the beauty. At night, warm LEDs strung from the shade-giving tree in our patio will temp you to stay all night. For the little ones, we keep a Pack and Play in the master closet, and we have a crib that we will set up on request. We also keep a highchair in the home at all times. We also have a community pool. Along with beach chairs and body boards that we keep in our garage, we keep pool noodles there too in case you and your kids want to take a dip in the pool.

It was a lovely stay! The place was extremely clean and everything was as described. The beach amenities were really nice to have. The beach directly in front of the property is too rocky for swimming, but it’s quiet, beautiful, and private and just a short walk to the left is a lovely area for swimming with the provided snorkels.
My husband and I came out for the weekend to explore the island for business. We wanted to stay somewhere that wasn’t too full of tourists, but was also an easy drive to anywhere on the island. Manati is the perfect place for all of that. You are only about an hour drive in any direction to get to the tourist traps or to any local favorites.. Dallas’ suggestions for local places to eat and hang out were spot on! We found this cute little sports bar called La Tranka, it’s a must try! The condo itself is absolutely stunning. It’s on the third floor so you get a great view. There is also an outdoor patio area right off the beach perfect for lunch or dinner by the waves. The master bedroom had an amazing amount of closet space, perfect for over-packers like myself! The bed was extremely comfortable. The garage is full of anything you may need from snorkel equipment, extra propane for the grill, beach chairs you name it. We are already looking forward to our next stay!
We had a wonderful time in Puerto Rico! Dallas’ place is exactly as described and pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the beach and water. We did have 2 minor issues during our stay but Dallas responded and handled both extremely quick. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a low key relaxed paced vacation. We will be back!
We had a great trip to Manati! The rental was very clean, modern & had great linens. Wonderful ocean front views! Would be a good unit for someone looking to relax with views. Great private entertaining space outdoors with gas grill. This community has 24/7 security. We felt very safe. 100% glad we stayed here and not in the chaos in San Juan. Beach equip& towels supplied. We chose to swim next door at Mar Chiquita beach. This was safe for our 5 and 12yo children. This beach was never too busy. There are vendors for food at Mar Chiquita. Another nearby beach Vega Baja was also nice particularly for toddlers, but was busier. We enjoyed visiting the Rio Camuy caverns (be ready for 2mile walk), Arecibo lighthouse park (great for kids), black sand beach (from parking area for pure persca), ToroVerde zip line park (longest in N America 2miles high speed). Check out Costa Azul to eat only a couple minutes away, they do have good vegetarian options. Stores &walmart nearby.
Beautiful location and apartment! Easy to follow instructions from host, who was always very friendly and responsive. The apartment was spotless and we felt right at home. Playa Mar Chiquita is a short walk but we also enjoyed the small natural pools that were formed on the beach in front of the apartment (particularly during the morning). So relaxing to see the sunset and sunrise from the balcony. We could even hear the ocean from our room. Nearby restaurants and eating spots were great and all of the host’s recommendations were spot on. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful piece of Puerto Rican heaven!

Our condo is located in a safe and gated community, Seaside Apartments, in Manati, Puerto Rico. Roughly 45 minutes from San Juan International airport.
The property entrance is roughly 40 yards/meters before the entrance to Playa Mar Chiquita Beach. Seaside Apartments is a small and private 20-unit property, cradled by a Nature Preserve, and sitting directly on a long, secluded stretch of sandy beach. That beach connects to Playa Mar Chiquita, one of our favorites in Puerto Rico. Pictures can not do justice to this piece of paradise and the blue waters surrounding it.
As you turn north off the 685 to get to the property you'll pass a small local grocery store, Supermercados Agranel Mar Chiquita, a great store to get all the basics, with a decent wine selection too. It is attached to a bakery and deli, where you can get delicious sandwiches, donuts, and other goodies. Walmart in Manati is about a 13-minute drive from the condo.
While you're here be sure to explore all of the local bars and restaurants scattered throughout the area. This is a part of the island where you can truly unwind, unplug, and be present.
PR does have cabs, Ubers, shuttles, etc but having a car when staying outside of the metro area is advisable. We are about 40 minutes from San Juan/Condoado/SJU airport.
We do have parking for multiple cars at the house. The condo and property are so comfortable we'd expect you might not want to leave much, but if you do want to explore local sites, landmarks, beaches, restaurants, etc we'd recommend having a rental car on those days.

We moved to PR in 2015, just my girlfriend and our 2 English Bulldogs. 8 years later, we're married w/ a baby girl, 6 dogs, and have built a life here. My wife started a dog rescue Souls of Satos many years ago. Her heart BLEEDS for the animals. It's quite well known now and we've saved thousands of dogs! Puerto Rico has become our home. We aim to create more beautiful spaces for people to vacation and create memories..and keep saving dogs!
