Scenic home w/ private dock on 4 acres. 3 BR home in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country located on the western shore of Seneca lake. 10 minutes from Watkins Glen. Our home is on a 4 acre wooded oasis, w/ private lake access & a newer dock. Enjoy the wrap around deck with beautiful lake views. Perfect setting for family & friends. The walk to the lake is downhill on a private gravel road (1/10 mi). Parking also avail near lake. King, queen & 2 queens w/ bunk beds (BR 3 semi-private) The Buttonwood is a comfortable modern home that offers a relaxing memorable view of Seneca Lake. Step up three stairs from a large parking area to a covered porch and vast deck which is enclosed on all sides. The first floor has a great room and kitchen providing floor to ceiling windows offering an unobstructed view of the Lake. The first floor queen bedroom has access to a full bath with standup shower (hand rail). Stairs lead to the basement which is a ground level walkout and provides foodball, ping pong and laundry. (Something for everyone!) The 2nd floor provides 2 semi private bedroom’s and 1/2 bath. The king room has amazing views!

Meg was great host. She was very accommodating with our groups need, and extremely communicative. It was a bit tight for sleeping space with our group, but everything was exactly as described in the listing. We enjoyed the game room, peaceful and private space, and the clear instructions.
We had a wonderful stay at The Buttonwood! Meg and Glenn's home was clean, cozy, and bathed in gorgeous natural light. The house had everything we needed and more, and we would love to come back in warmer weather to fully enjoy the dock and outdoor spaces. This rental is ideal for groups that are comfortable around each other and keep similar hours, as the upstairs bedrooms are open to the rest of the house and the downstairs bedroom contains the only indoor access point for the basement game room. Our group of six friends loved the space and would definitely recommend it!
We stayed here for a girls trip weekend and it was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better host or a better experience! The house was perfect, the views were amazing, it truly made for a wonderful weekend! Will definitely remember this place for next year when booking our next trip!!
Wow what a find! We had a girls' weekend here and we were absolutely thrilled with the house and the property! What a view of the lake. We kept wishing the weather was warmer so we could really enjoy the large deck and all the lovely comfy looking furniture out there . And we had so much fun walking down to the dock and sitting on the Adirondack chairs with a glass of wine all bundled up. The living room was nice and cozy and the TV worked great to stream movies. Meg was really responsive, so helpful, never had to wait long for an answer! Even though it rained and the leaves didn't change as much as we were hoping this season, we still had a wonderful time in the area. We did a wine tour with Crush tours, the South Seneca Lake wine tour which was fantastic. We also drove out to Letchworth State Park, like a small Grand Canyon on the east coast! Worth the hour and a half drive. And of course Watkins Glen Park was amazing as well, with great restaurants in that town! And close!

The Buttonwood is located in the heart of Seneca Lake wine trail, near fine wineries, breweries and cheese shops. Also only 10 minutes from Watkins Glen Village, and 15 minutes from Watkins Glenn NASCAR race track. Hiking and spectacular waterfalls are seen by many who travel to the Glen to enjoy it’s abundant trails. The Buttonwood is just three minutes from the Glenora Winery.
Quiet private gravel road shared with 2 neighbors surrounded by trees on Seneca Lake. Private Lake access is a moderate walk from the house which leads to a wooded staircase and 40 feet of your shale beach & dock. Please note that the walk to the water has sections with a steep pitch and may be difficult for persons not in optimal health for hiking.
We have approved parking for a single vehicle near the stairs leading to the lake, only 4 wheel drive vehicles down the hill to the lake please. .
