We loved Casa del Rio! The staff was very present and accommodating. The location was remote and peaceful, yet close enough to town to walk or get a cheap ride. Our host let us have private access to Rio Fortuna where we took a refreshing dip our first night after a long day of travel! There are many restaurants near by with comida típica at fair prices if you don’t want to dine at the restaurant in Casa del Rio. We will gladly return to this Costa Rican Oasis! Highly recommend a morning trip to La Fortuna waterfall which is a short Uber from Casa Del Rio!

This is the most beautiful boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s an incredible place to stay and the pictures do not do it justice. There’s not a lot of people here, I’d say no more than 50 or so guest at a time. If that many. It’s quite cozy and gives all the tropical vibes. They have chicken coops so guest have fresh eggs daily. There’s the lobby area where you can watch the river on the back of the property. 2 pools and a water slide that’ll whoop ya. lol Breakfast is amazing and we enjoyed it daily. I came on a girls trip however after my husband saw the property he’s excited to plan a trip! I would totally stay here again and bring my family.

The resort itself was very clean and the amenities were great. The included breakfast was actually a sit down restaurant which was a nice value. Very quiet and secure. The only thing that was a slight annoyance was we were not allowed to have anyone visit. We had a family member staying at another place in town and he wasn’t permitted to enter for a few minutes to make plans together. I did contact the host and was given a prompt response but wosh there was a bit more flexibility that I am more accustomed to with an Airbnb. Overall a great place to spend a few days.

If you are looking for a resort stay that is straight forward and cheaper than you’ll find through a lot of resort websites, book this! Room is right next to the pool and restaurant/bar. We had a great time here! Just know you will hear a bit of noise from the pool guests, but that’s what you get with a great location.

This place was a fabulous room in an amazing hotel. The hotel grounds, the staff, the restaurant, the room and its location right next to the pool and 20 metres from the restaurant was fantastic! It was beyond our expectations!!
