Welcome to The Stables, originally the horse stables for Cary Castle, this unique and stunning building has been lovingly renovated to create a truly wonderful holiday home in a peaceful location in the heart of St Mary church. Perfectly located at the end of a private lane so that guests can enjoy a peaceful setting yet close to local amenities. Beautifully designed to offer up to four guests everything they need for a comfortable stay. The stables have been carefully renovated to create a beautiful and unique retreat with all the comforts of modern living whilst retaining is charm and rustic character. The open planned living area is bright and airy whilst designed to feel like a calm, welcoming space to relax after a long day exploring. Guests can enjoy the benefit of a full sky tv package including sky movies, sky sports, Disney plus and Netflix. The downstairs bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, bedside lighting, wardrobe, dressing table and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Upstairs there is a twin bedroom with an open framed wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is also a bathroom that features a small 1.2 metre child’s bath and overhead shower, ideal for washing off sandy toes.

This was my first experience in an AirBNB and Leanne made it so perfect! From the stunning home to the immaculate cleanliness of the place and the lovely welcome back of scones and clotted cream. The home is so picturesque! I loved waking up to the birds chirping and the local church bells. Definitely would book again!
Had a lovely time at the Stables. Leanne was very responsive both during the booking stage and whilst we were there. The house was immaculate and had great character. She always made sure she was at hand if we needed anything. Only down side is parking is difficult particularly if you have a big car, otherwise great!

We had a lovely stay at The Stables over Easter. The accommodation was just as expected - clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Conveniently located to access Paignton and Torquay. We struggled to find the entrance to the accommodation but Leanne was on hand to direct us. The accommodation is down a private lane and the parking space is big enough for a large 4x4, but it is a little tricky to get out of. All in all we had a superb stay and cannot fault the accommodation at all. Highly recommended! Thanks Leanne!

St Marychurch is a quaint village within Torquay and is located a few minutes walk from our property. At its heart St Marychurch has a pedestrianised precinct with an array of charming shops, cafes and restaurants.
Babbacombe and Oddicombe beaches are within close proximity where you can find the historic cliff railway, Babbacombe model village, bygones museum, beautiful coastal views and plenty of bars and restaurants.
The southwest coastal path is also within easy reach with a choice of stunning walks and breathtaking scenery.
There is a designated parking space located at the property. There is plenty of on street parking close by. Torre and Torquay train station are the nearest train station and there are good bus links within easy walk of the property.

Hello I’m Leanne. I live in St Marychurch, Torquay, with my partner Dan and our two children. After completing the renovation of our own home, we decided to turn our attention to ‘The Stables’ attached to our property. We have spent the last 12 months converting it into a unique holiday home so that others can enjoy this beautiful part of Devon that we are lucky to call home. As a family we love getting out and about and making the most of where we live as well as travelling to other parts of the world. We very much look forward to welcoming future guests to Torquay.
