Fantastic uni-mate reunion stay at a wonderful house. Host, John, lives in a separate part of the house but the house is so large that you wouldn’t have known and John was a perfect mixture of being there if needed but also leaving us to enjoy the stay. Incredibly well equipped kitchen (both in terms of utensils and appliances) - perfect sociable spaces in the kitchen/dining room and living room. The sauna outside was fantastic and John kept the pool uncovered so we could alternate between cold plunges (it was November) and sauna heat - there was also an ice bath next to the sauna too. Huge garden space with mini football goals and trampoline - while we didn’t have kids with us this would be a great stay if we had. Bedrooms were all very spacious and the 2 king beds were huge and accommodated 2 thirty-something men with ease! Walked via footpaths (wear wellies if wet as arable land) to Eastcote and enjoyed the cozy and warm hospitality of the Eastcote Arms Thank you John!

We had a lovely stay at John’s house, and the children loved playing in the pool and gardens. The house was also very spacious which was great for the kids to run around! John and Kiki were very helpful hosts and we look forward to visiting again.

We had a fantastic stay at Wendover House, our hosts were brilliant and the weather was amazing, so we made full use of the beautiful gardens, and the heated pool, ice bath & sauna! The house was lovely with very spacious yet cosy rooms with all the facilities you need. We all, including the dog, had plenty of things to do exploring the huge gardens and woodland. As well as the swimming we had a rather bad but most enjoyable attempt at badminton. In the evening we fired up the Big Green Egg BBQ and chilled on the terrace with a bottle or two of Chablis. Perfection! Highly recommended.

My stay at this idyllic country house was a breath of fresh air. Unlike the impersonality of hotels, here I was embraced by warm hospitality that instantly felt like home. The house, nestled amidst lush, meticulously tended gardens, exuded rustic charm. The on-site pool / sauna followed by the invigorating cold tub was the perfect wellness treat, revitalizing and refreshing. Here, you’re not just a guest, but part of a welcoming community. If you’re seeking a serene, nature-filled escape, this country house is a delightful haven that gave us an unforgettable stay.
