Great place for our weekend getaway!

This was a great place for a group of us to hang out and relax in after doing a race on the Poconos ski slopes. We all felt right at home, had our own bathrooms, and relaxed in the multiple common rooms. It was awesome to experience living in such a beautiful old stone house. Laura was very nice and gave us a great tour when we arrived on the different quirks of the house so that we would have the best experience possible.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Laura’s house. She is an inviting and gracious host who met us at the house and gave us a tour – there is a lot to see. Her home is beautiful and unique. It is filled with varying spaces, levels, design features, and artwork. We delighted in the many rooms and found infinite things to explore and admire. We particularly enjoyed the gorgeous kitchen and spacious outside deck where we could listen to many different birds, observe the deer and rabbits and watch fireflies at night. It’s a beautiful and intriguing setting that goes well with a hot cup of coffee or a glass of fine wine. Despite high temps and humidity, the AC kept us perfectly comfortable throughout the house. The stairs are somewhat steep, as the listing notes, which is typical of old farmhouses, but without the groans and creaks. If you are looking for something atypical that tickles the senses, this one fits the bill. We loved it. Thanks Laura!
