The apartment was very clean. My room was small but beautiful and comfortable. The living room was beautiful with sun shining in even in winter. The Metro is 10 minutes, a bus station 1 minute away. The kitchen is well equipped. Unfortunately I was woken up during the night regularly during my 6 week stay. The lock of the entrance door makes quite a loud „clack“ when you close it, but could be closed silently with the key. Maria told me that it would not be possible to demand the housemates to close it with the key during the night. There are two permanent roommates, I would have liked the Tunesian guy to be more mindful. He was often watching from afternoon till 2 o clock am TV in the living room, but complained to me about me using the living room too often; I was silently working with my laptop. He left the stove regularly uncleaned and towards the end of my stay I often perceived a strong Canabis smell coming from his room. The Ukrainian housemate was very respectful and silent.

From start to finish a great stay. The room was pristine and Maria always would have a solution for any shortcomings, such as a bringing a fan for when it was too warm. The apartment is lively and feels just like home, with a great living room and sights. There is a room to do your laundry in and hang your drying clothes. There are plenty of options for public transit, with a bus stop right in front, and a train/metro station 10 minutes away. Also no lack of nearby places to eat and socialize, as well as groceries stores. The only minor complaint I have is how there is no elevator for a 4 stories apartment, it was tiring getting the luggage upstairs, but that is common in historical buildings like these.

Maria was a very responsive and friendly host. She was very flexible and always made sure I had everything I needed. The stay was very well located, near a major train station and the historical center of Lisbon. The apartment was very clean, well furnished and my room had a beautiful view. I am very satisfied with my long term stay there and would definitely recommend it! Thank you Maria for everything.
