We are approx 5-10 mins direct walk from the town centre but there are longer alternative walking routes taking in the Town Walls, the River and Castle. The first 100 yards or so heading to town from the apartment via the shortest route are uphill and then the pavement flattens out.

If you wish or need to drive into to town, there is a car park at the back of the market place near The George Pub - known as Ludlow Castle Street car park if you can search online for it. It does get very busy on market days and from Priory House it's a bit of a faff to drive to as you cannot follow the most direct route due to a pedestrianised section. We would turn right out of Priory Gardens, first right down Weeping Cross Lane following it all the way round until you come to a T-Junction. Turn Right and at the brow of the hill, turn left at the Traffic Lights. This takes you on to the High Street (it's very narrow to begin with). Carry on straight through until you see the market stalls on your right. At the end of this square, turn right round the end of the market and follow the road round and down the side of The George Pub to the car park.
There is some on street parking, for those with blue badge parking permits along and off the high street and also off the high street there is parking for other drivers without permits but it is limited in both availability and duration. You will need to pay at local ticket machines in both locations.
If you need transport other than by car, there are local bus services which can be found listed under the Minsterley Motors website; look under Our Services - Public Services - Bus Routes & Timetables (we would put the direct link in but for some bizarre reason known only to themselves AirBnB don't allow us to).

Ludlow is on the Transport for Wales, Cardiff to Manchester Piccadilly mainline or nearer destinations include Church Stretton & Shrewsbury to the north, Leominster, Hereford & Abergavenny to the south. You can find the times for trains on either Transport For Wales, National Rail or Trainline websites (again we can not provide the links themselves for reasons already stated).
Public Toilets - in town these are situated on Castle Street off the market square near the George Pub - head as if walking down to the car park at the back of the George and they are on your left - they cost 20p when we last needed them!
