My husband and I had the most amazing week at the cabin! We were blessed with 7 days of sun and no rain. Of course, this meant no running water, but we didn’t mind since we just used lake water! Our husky, Willow, explored all 65 acres and then some on our morning “backyard” hikes. We spent our days lounging on the dock and jumping in the lake to cool off, or swinging into the lake on the Tarzan swing! As stunning as the views from the lake were, views from the cabin were spectacular. I think my favourite spot was the screened in porch with panoramic views of the forest! This is where we decided to sleep every night, too! The cabin definitely exceeded our expectations and we will be back!
Communication with Heidi was quick and very easy. She was great. The cabin... so rustic. It has a very loving and cozy feel to it. The view from any window was SPECTACULAR. In the evenings we lit our solar lights and it was magical. The screened in porch...if I wasn't by the water you would find me here. The futon with the view, sound of nature and the breeze. Amazing. The view when you wake up.... beautiful!! The fire pits were great and you have 2 to pick from...one by the water or one in the woods. The dock...it was so fun to have a dock to run off and jump in the water. You have many spots to but a yoga mat or towel down to enjoy the sun. The water was clean and so refreshing...no weeds nearby. We were usually floating in our floaties. We had a really fun encounter with a big old turtle who showed up every morning. This is a MUST for any tent camper or anyone who wants to escape the city and be off grid for a bit for a reset. This was a great vacation to celebrate our anniversary and we didn't want to go back to the city life We swam, canoed, had great sleeps, ate great food, had fun in the rain and sun, heard the loons sing and met a turtle! Great and relaxing time at the cabin. Beautiful grounds, lots of trails available, water in the lake was amazing for this time of year. We will certainly return.

Hello Folks I am a grown up traveller type, working a few days a week for money, engaging in a netzero retro fit renovation of a 150 year old farm house on Wolfe Island on the other days (i'll likely live there someday). We live in downtown Kingston and it is fantastic! and offers a landing place for travel, for paddling in the clear shield waters, for adventuring into local venues, music festivals, great restaurants, and small healthy community inner city living! Playing in the wilderness in a canoe, travelling, taking street photography, renovating old houses, design, art and music, kids and community are my passions. I am a connector. I love people, pets, friends, and tables full of laughing people. I am trusting and kind and want lovely humans to stay in my homes. My background is in teaching and learning. I am a therapist by profession and a coffee barista in my heart!! I love children though i got gifted one amazing daughter — she is a marvellous human who delights me every day.I love flowers and gardens and am a local food, local economy-type. My daughter and i are Airbnb users and recently travelled Italy with backpacks staying in magnificent people's homes, meeting locals, learning about the best places to eat and things to see this way. I am hooked on the magic of sharing our homes and lives with other travellers in this way. We are basically paying for each other to travel!
