Charmant appartement au cœur du marché By, près de tout! L’enduit est parfait pour une famille de trois ou quatre. Il y a suffisamment d’espace pour qu’on ne se marche pas sur les pieds. La cuisine est petite, mais entièrement fonctionnelle et bien équipée. Dans l’ensemble, c’est un endroit paisible où on se sent rapidement chez soi. Andrew est un hôte hors pair : sympathique, discret, mais toujours disponible en cas de questions. On ne pourrait pas demander mieux!

The place is very well located, close to downtown, parks and just a block from the Alexandria bridge connecting to Gatineau. The apartment is very spacious, the beds of the second bedroom can be linked together to form an amazing king-size bed. The living room/dining room is very spacious too with a very nice sofa, and the main bedroom can fit a large-size crib and still be very confortable to walk. The drying racks do the job perfectly thanks to the heating of the apartment, so we didn't miss a drying machine at all. The kitchen is indeed small but well equiped, it may feel crancky only when leaving the dishes to dry. With creativity it is possible to cook efficiently without noticing the small space, although the storage may become an issue. The neighborhood is safe but when getting close to Rideau street, the presence of addicts gets noticeable, specially next to buildings in construction. Prefer main and illuminated streets at night

We had a wonderful month in a wonderful house. The owner, Edward, was very polite and helpful in solving problems. Also, the location of the house is extremely central. It is truly a place where I would like to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay, and fell in love with the area and our little top-floor hideaway. The church bells of Notre Dame, visible through the skylight, and the quirks and charms of the old building, and the self-effacing simplicity of the interior furnishings all created a delightful home-away-from-home. The location is a dream — just look at the map! — and the neighbourhood was quieter than we expected and, for downtown, felt safe. Edward was very prompt and courteous responding to our questions, and the self-check in was a breeze. Our only caution in recommending the apartment would be that the interior doorways are slightly under 6’ high and the sloping ceilings leave little headroom for tall people. My husband is 6’4” and had to duck frequently, but he says he would be happy to return nevertheless.
