The Buttery was peaceful and a much needed haven for our stay. With beautiful walks right from the door, the idyllic views, and the town history and attractions. It is not busy either so adds to the charm of a quiet town.

The place was tired and needed attention and checked after cleaning. Shower good, heating fine, chipped & stained mugs, dirty frying pan in cupboard, microwave worked but inside door large rust patch. All utensils provided plus tv & radio. Mugs relaced promptly.

The Buttery was an absolutely lovely place to stay, with easily walkable pubs and amenities, plus a beautiful view - highly recommended as a base for exploring the Lakes!
