Wii, games, puzzles, books provided for stay-in days. Make this your home away from home as you explore the best of the northern lower Michigan area. Warm weather or cold, you'll never lack something fun to explore and do. Our home is cozy and comfortable for singles, couples and families. Our property backs up to state land with trails that seem to go on forever. Use the trails for ATV, snowmobile, walking the dog or just exploring nature. Kayaking, biking, hiking, skiing, ORVing, or snowmobiling, etc - all within minutes. Keep your boat in the generous yard. Enjoy the s'mores around the fire pit out back and the kitchen is equipped for any cooking you want to do. We have full laundry and comfortable beds with an open floor plan. BBQ on the deck with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating. The kitchen includes coffee maker, smoothie maker, skillets, all the dishes and serveware you'll need and even a few pantry items to make it more convenient. We provide bed linens as well as plentiful bath towels. We have the WIFI, ROKU TV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, YoutubeTV, DVD, a Wii and lots of board games and puzzles, as well as a few toys. Fishing opportunities galore with the inland waterway system so close by. We are 1/2 mile and 2 miles from great access points to kayak or tube the Sturgeon and about 1/2 mile from the trailhead for groomed snowmobile trails (North- Central Trail //Indian River/Petoskey Trail). We are 3 miles from Burt Lake State Park and Big Bear Adventures and about 20-30 minutes from Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Mackinaw, Gaylord and Cheboygan for unlimited adventures. We will consider a dog staying with you on an individual basis for an extra fee which will be added to the total once reservations is confirmed. We have a fenced yard for pet play time. Great stay and we will be back. Clean great location. Easy drive to mackinaw, petosky, harbor springs, charlevoix, etc, etc. Very clean and comfortable and zero complaints and great value for the stay.
Our dogs loved the fensed in back yard. The availability of kitchen things is wonderful and plenty of linens and extra blankets! The hosts are super responsive.
This was our second stay and it was even better than the first. We felt a warm welcome of coziness and familiarity the moment we walked through the door. Our Up North home away from home was is thoroughly sparkling clean, well stocked with home essentials, comfy, secure and located near a variety of our favorite restaurants and Up North attractions. The additional 1/2 bath was a nice bonus. The weather was lovely and allowed us to enjoy soaking in a little sun on the deck with our pooches. We are already talking about coming back.

We are a family of outdoor enthusiasts, good cooks, better eaters, book and movie lovers (in that order) and lifelong learners. We enjoy finding a new adventure and sharing it with others. We love dogs. We enjoy movies and evenings by the fire and wine. We love meeting new people and even if we don't meet our guests, learning about them and thier adventures is so intriguing. We have always like the idea of a bed and breakfast and since we can't manage that, being an AirBnB host is the next best thing.
