The Main House in Monticchio Vecchio is 405 square meters. The large living room opens onto its own private terrace and has direct access to the pool. Cool throughout the summer, this is where you come to escape the sun and simply relax or play cards. Situated at the base of the tower is the kitchen. In true form it is a place where everyone seems to gathers. In the dinning room,one whole wall is taken up with our quirky collection once described as “high kitsch”! Set in the heart of Umbria, our 18th century farm, which is listed as of ‘historical importance’, has been carefully restored over the past 15 year. The woods on either side of the valley are also protected for the wildlife. Monticchio is perched on a small hill with the Nestore river running below. There is a feeling of complete isolation yet we are only 5 minutes from local amenities, Our aim is create a unique experience while staying with us and to share the joys that Umbria has to offer. The property consists of 3 spacious apartments and the main house. There is also a secluded infinite pool (20m by 5m) with a terrace which overlooks the valley. Our aim while designing was that each apartment would have its own individual character, a place where our guests would look forward to returning to after a long day of exploring or lying by the pool. They are furnished with special pieces we have collected over a long period of time and each object has a story attached to it, which we are always happy to share.
