We spent 11 days at Jan and Louis’s place and had an amazing time at the airbnb and at Bequia in general. The two hammocks on the terrace are amazing for relaxing, Friendship’s bay nearby is chill and without too many people. And last but not least, Jan and Louis are the best hosts we could have wished for. They invited us to different events on the island, making sure we felt at home. We would definitely recommend their place and Bequia.

Jan and Louis are great hosts. Friendly, communicative and with a wealth of local knowledge. They went above and beyond for us and we loved them! The studio apartment has everything you need and is quiet, with a lovely outside space with views down to Friendship Bay. La Pompe is a small residential village, very safe with the community feel that we love. There is a short cut from the road down to Friendship Bay, so you can walk to the beach in about 15 mins. You can then go to either Bequia Beach Hotel, or the Good Mood Cafe with owners John and Donna. There's also a rum shop and small village shop. The dollar vans go right past the house so getting to harbour or either of the beaches on the other side of the island is easy - it take 10 mins, costs 2ecd each and the locals will help you if you're not sure where to get off. They stop running at 7pm, so we would book Brendan's taxi to bring us back for 30ecd. This is a great value place to stay - highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay - hosts are lovely. Great view from the balcony! lots of wildlife, fruits, dogs and goats… proper Caribbean. First time on the island, felt super safe and you guys made it real easy to navigate - thanks so much! xx
