This is a fantastic place to stay and the welcome to Donkey Shed and Seren was great. Comfortable, warm, well equipped, gorgeous wood-fired hot tub (amazing stargazing) and just the best views!
Such a beautiful little house in a magical area. The Donkey shed was fabulous. Beautiful building very thoughtfully laid out. The setting could not have been any better. On the edge of the hill overlooking the Wye valley. Every morning we watched the mist rise up. We are a family of 4 and it was a great size for us. Mezzanine double and a bunk room for 2. House was spotless. Hot tub was a massive hit with us all. Only downside was that house got very hot in the mornings, but 32 degree heatwave is pretty rare! There was a fan and air conditioning unit so we could all sleep. Easy access to the river and lots of walks. It is very remote and supermarket delivery was unable to find us, so make sure they have good directions! Loved our stay there and hope to book again.

We had a fabulous time at the donkey shed and seren. It’s absolutely STUNNING! Incredible views, amazing amenities and the hot tub was a wonderful treat after long walks around the wye valley. Hugh and Catherine couldn’t have done more to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.. really helpful and sweet! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you :)
We had an amazing time at Donkey Shed and Seren this weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary and the mother in law's birthday. Both places were spotlessly clean and no expense was spared on the spec of the appliances installed. The hot tub was a hit with everyone, including the robes. The views were amazing and having access to some some binoculars kept at Donkey Shed was an added bonus. There were so many additional extras supplied, it felt like everything had been thought of. Thank you for your hospitality, especially letting us buy those choc ices from you!! Absolute savour after our walk on an extremely hot day!

We live on a small holding with beautiful views over the Wye Valley. Having moved here in 2011 we decided that we should convert the old donkey sheds into the Donkey Shed so that we can share this amazing place with others! What used to be a series of slowly collapsing stable doors is now an open-plan, wood burner equipped, oak beamed living space with an eagle (or in our case, buzzard) eyed view down to the shimmering River Wye. We would love to welcome you here for some fresh air and relaxation. We live across the road so there is an equal share of privacy and availability.
