Beautiful and spacious ground floor apartment in a small condo with a shared pool. Great access for pushchairs. Situated in the centre of Burgau, a picturesque village with fantastic restaurants and a gorgeous beach with its own beach bar. One minute to a supermarket and bakery. With excellent golf courses less than 5 minutes drive, Burgau is near the old city of Lagos, a waterpark and a zoo. Horseriding, boat trips, hiking, surfing, diving and SUP nearby. The apartment is about an hour from Faro airport and only a few minutes from the nearest beach. It is perfect for 4 people but can accommodate 5. It has two good sized bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a shower over the bath. There is a z-bed which can be put in the living or bedrooms. A cot is also available. It is rare to find such a large flat so close to the beach, making it a great place to stay for families of all ages!

We had a great stay. The house is larger than expected, with good amenities and nice location. However, the upstairs neighbors made quite some noise in the morning. Also I really really really missed a simple tabletop ventilator. Finally, the swimming pool was quite dirty (the host informed us of some temporary issues with the pump)

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Eleonor. Hôte très attentionnée et réactive. Le logement est idéalement placé, on peut tout faire à pied ( épicerie d’appoint à 2 pas, plage…) Ici pas de grand immeuble, petit village typique plein de charme et authentique. Seul petit bémol, la piscine n’est pas suffisamment régulièrement entretenue ( 1x par semaine) Sinon nous recommandons cette location.

Sono proprio contenta di aver soggiornato a Burgau nell'appartamento di Eleanor. Era pulito grazioso dotato di tutti i confort e in posizione perfetta. La presenza della piscina ha avuto un 'importanza determinante nella scelta e l'abbiamo utilizzata molto anche se il mare è vicino e l'acqua non era così fredda come temevo. Suggerisco venga effettuata una pulizia giornaliera dopo la chiusura alle 22:00 in modo che possa essere sempre curata e perfetta. Grazie Eleanor

The atmosphere in Burgau is relaxing and magical. You can have a perfect holiday here whether you want to be active and adventurous or chill out on the beach. There are some well-situated cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by or look out over the blue sea and sandy beach. The fisherman’s cottages give Burgau a traditional feeling and there is a good choice of restaurants for local cuisine and seafood and most cater for vegan/vegetarian diets.
Around Burgau you can follow the walking or biking trails along the cliffs to Luz, heading east, or Cabanas Velhas to the west. The trails continue with stunning clifftop views towards even more attractive beaches, old forts and lovely countryside to Sagres and the western most point of Europe.
The west coast is also easily accessible from Burgau.

出行信息

There is a local bus service from Sagres to Burgau and from Burgau to Lagos, so you can easily access the gems of the southern and western coast including the Costa Vincentina. From Lagos you can catch a train to Faro or Lisbon. The train station is located behind the marina in Lagos.
If you’re driving, the N125 is free or you can travel slightly faster on the A22, which has toll charges.

I have always been passionate about travelling, seeing new places and meeting people from different countries and cultures. I visited Portugal as a child and later with my own family, but when we rediscovered it in 2017 we realised what an amazing lifestyle it can offer. I love the sea and the coastal Algarve seems to provide the perfect balance of new places to discover; and beaches, cafes and restaurants we want to visit again and again.
