One of the best places we stayed! Was way better than expected. The room is excellent quality and very clean, all well maintained. The restaurant has delicious food and the surroundings are just amazing. They prepared a baby bed for our 2 year old. Highly recommend.

Wow!! The most amazing views of Arenal right from our balcony! We spent a day walking the trails around the hotel and it was beautiful, including some waterfalls. The hotel itself was amazing, I love the views from the dining area. Beautiful sunsets, and when the clouds clear you see the massive volcano appear. Breakfast is included, it was really good!! Dinners were always delicious. The pool and jacuzzi area were picturesque. Just loved it! Planning on returning!!

We loved our stay here! Close to all of the adventures we wanted to have (Cerro Chato hike, waterfall) and with a stellar view of the gardens AND Arenal for us to view every morning and evening. Loved the breakfast (complimentary). Road is a bit rough coming in, but as it is a huge property and secluded, to be expected. It was maintained well, even as it was grated from one evening to the next morning.

We stayed here for two and a half days and absolutely loved our time there. The lodge was sooo much better than we expected. We were coming from an all-inclusive beach resort and thought that there was no way that the lodge could compare to where we had stayed. But we loved it so much—almost more than the resort. The included breakfast was really wonderful, very filling and lots of variety. I loved sitting and eating with a view of the volcano. I was so happy on the day that it was clear enough to see the top. Note: the volcano hasn't been active since 2011. You won't see it erupt or spark (despite what the pictures show), but you may see steam come from the top. Or you might not see the top at all! It can be very cloudy. We stayed in room 33 which was the perfect distance from everything. Every morning we would wake up to a gorgeous view of the volcano and wildlife. A coati walked right up to our door. The bathrooms are great, and the shower had awesome water pressure and was a giant walk-in with a bench. There is no air conditioning, but don't worry because there's a great fan and the rainforest stays fairly cool, especially at night. The beds are really hard, and the bedding is kind of 80's like (think classic hotel comforters), but we slept just fine. One morning, we woke up naturally around 6:30 am to rainfall and the volcano. I couldn't think of a more relaxing way to start the day. The sunsets are amazing as well. It gets dark around 6 pm every night in Costa Rica, so don't stay out too late on the trails (although most of them are lit). Definitely take advantage of the hot tub and pool—they'll rent you towels too. The trails are kept so well and there's plenty of places to walk and explore. All the different vegetation is marked by signs with the names and Latin classifications. The staff is also very helpful, and they will work together with you to book trips and expeditions. They organized a trip for us to the Springs Resort and Spa to enjoy hot springs, tubing, and the wildlife reserve. This is by far the best place to stay in Arenal, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
