The town of St Annes which is just 1 mile away, is a traditional Victorian seaside town with pier, bandstand, gardens and a good selection of shops and eateries. Livelier Lytham which attracts a more cosmopolitan crowd with its landmark windmill, championship golf courses and an excellent choice of bars, shops and restaurants, is just 4 miles away.
