Overall was a solid stay in a super location. When we first arrived, the entire apartment smelled of cigarette smoke which was disappointing. The previous guests were smokers which explained the smell. Despite the start, Carlos went above and beyond to correct everything. He purchased new air purifiers, ACs, bedding, air fresheners, and even offered to replace the couch. He was an incredible host. The apartment is close to Highland Park which is great. Neighbor is kind of weird - he feeds a stray cat colony and they’re always around. Overall, a very solid stay with some eccentricities. No longer smelled as strongly of smoke by the end of the stay. Carlos is the best host I’ve had.

Spacious apartment. Ample parking off-street, which is a huge perk in and around LA. Carlos was very professional, readily available, and very responsive to communication. The unit is a bit dated and could use a face-lift in the bathroom and kitchen, but it is cozy enough and private. We did clean a large amount of dust, cobwebs, and random other contents when we arrived. We stayed for 4 months and were content after initial cleaning was complete. There is a cat odor, but pets are allowed, and there are feral cats in the vicinity. We kept plug ins to keep outside smells to a minimum. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

My first airbnb stay. I'd read too many horror stories about psycho hosts so always stuck with hotels, but that's not really convenient for semi-long term stays, which we needed while house hunting here. That said, I can't really compare with other places but we were very happy with our stay here. Carlos was very helpful whenever I had a question, but at the same time hands off and it wasn't at all the micromanaging type situation I'd feared. A couple things I liked in particular: There was a lot of left over hygiene type products like shampoo and shaving cream and non-perishable foodstuffs like rice and salt. I'm not sure how usual this is but I really appreciated the convenience, surprise and waste reduction. The nice guy that lives next door feeds the neighborhood cats so there are always cats hanging around the front door and in the parking area. Nice if you're a cat person and my cat spent a lot of time looking at them through the window.

I was there with 3 other roommates for a long stay. Overall a pretty good experience. Carlos is very responsive and reasonable, and will go out of his way to help out with any issues or requests. The place itself is alright, the furniture/amenities are on the older side but are still comfortable and usable. Kitchen was well equipped with cookware and dishes, and there was some stuff left over from previous tenants that you can use. Internet was good and definitely usable for work-from-home purposes. Note that if it isn't working properly, let Carlos know since I think he pays for internet on a month-by-month basis which makes sense for an apt that isn't occupied all the time. We also had some issues with ants and the water boiler leaking, but Carlos was pretty quick to either give us stuff to deal with it (for the ants) or come over to fix it himself. Location is pretty good, area felt safe and was within walking distance to some good Mexican food. It's on the outskirts of Highland Park so it's pretty quiet at night and the busy parts of Highland Park are still within a reasonable walking distance. TL;DR, the place is on the older side but is still livable and comfortable. We had a couple issues but Carlos will take care of you. Pretty happy with the place given what we paid.
