Our time at the cottage was great. The location and setting is superb! The backyard is really child friendly. The cottage is homely and tastefully decorated to reflect its age. The hosts Mike and Lesley are great. Would definitely stay again.

What a beautiful spot, great location across from main gorge entrance but very quite spot, set back and didnt hear any road noise. Loved the hot tub, great dull equipped kitchen with air fryer. Well thought out touches to make stay comfortable such as chromecast, nice towels, heat pump & great, comfy master bed (& I am a fuzzy bed person!) and brought our 1 year old. Very baby friendly with baby gate and highchair. Would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous, quiet surroundings! Mike and Lesley have done a beautiful job on the inside of the house. It was comfortable, with a beautiful modern kitchen. It was fun to see a historic photo of the area, in which the house itself is marked! One of my sons was delighted to discover that the back yard went back and back, beyond what we could originally see. We loved the hot tub, ready on arrival, and used it both nights. We were there to bike the Hauraki Rail Trail, but discovered that we were right between the two cities that are at either end of Section C that had bike rentals. Our hosts helped us find a place in Paeroa that could rent us bikes and then transport us and the bikes to Waihi, where we leisurely rode the 24-km trail all the way back. Do note that the bathroom is at the opposite end of the house from the bedrooms, in case that makes a difference for you, and also that there is a small step between the dining room and living room. We would recommend this place!
