Spectacular setting away from town in the forest with lots of birds in the morning. Trail along stream to waterfall and swimming area. 5 min walk to Teleferico. House definitely needs some work. Upstairs much nicer with all wooden walls and ceiling and large windows. I would definitely go back; IF they did some maintenance.

The location on the hill behind Minjoy was more remote than we expected. A small car would not make the climb. Very dark if walking at night. A bridge connects the compound to the main road and guests have a key for the gate. The house was clean but in need of maintenance such as painting the concrete walls, new light bulbs, and curtains or blinds. The shower nozzles don't work well as the water comes out as a single stream and not a spray. Good hot water and good Internet. Good Claro 4G. Lots of dishes but some pans are very old. No coffee maker. Good blender. Not all windows have screens. No mosquitos but some crawling insects in house. Personnel all friendly and helpful, especially the girls who made breakfast. They gave us a free ride on the teleferico. The house is adequate and a good place to see nature. But given the condition and remoteness it feels overpriced due to the per-person pricing. We paid over $100/day for three of us. Mindo is expensive but this seems a poor value.

This place is a perfect location when visiting Mindo! We had an unexpected experience of no water but they immediately tried to fix it but couldn’t. They refunded us completely, brought us water, and gave us free tickets to the cable car. They were good hosts and I hated saying anything negative but had to be honest on our experience. The surroundings are breathtaking.
