We stumbled across this property whilst researching accommodation for a recommended (short) tour of Montenegro. Having experienced Baitas in Italy and Chalets in Switzerland we were keen to view the workmanship of a fairly new build in Kolasin. We were not disappointed. The property is outstanding in presentation, cosy and genuine. The location, some 10min outside of Kolasin by car, was perfect for us. It is a very rural setting next to a river with a stunning view of the mountains. The fact that we awoke after our single night’s stay to fresh snow and a picturesque wintery landscape, only added to the experience. As far as the building and amenities are concerned there is a pellet-fed water heater that feeds radiators in every room, plus an open fire that we enjoyed, making for a very comfortable stay in temperatures of -2C outside. It was kind and thoughtful of owner to have arranged for everything to be up and running, toasty and warm prior to our arrival. Some Apple Rakija and a bottle of wine work wonders too. Thank you :-). Check-in was a simple, friendly 3min affair, and then we could simply relax and enjoy a fire as snow flakes settled on the window sills. When we departed the following morning, heading down the drive, we were hailed by a wonderful lady from a local farmhouse brandishing a bag of just-baked goodies that tasted somewhere between a biscuit and a scone - forever now referred to by the kids as ‘Biscones’! They were amazing and frightfully well received/devoured by all. We have been fortunate enough to have stayed at many, many Airbnb properties over the past 7 years. We truly agree that this specific experience typified, for us at least, what the Airbnb experience should be; exciting and unique accommodations, friendly communicative hosts and an interaction with a community that hotels all too often isolate the visitor from. We shall return, and we look forward to it. Thanks from all 4 of us, and our dog. Cheers
