Amazing views! Glad that every room had a beautiful view. Enjoyed the wildlife including kangaroos, sheep and birds around the property. Loved the amenities and the outdoor area with dining and bbq. The place was very clean, tidy and well equipped. Only complaint is that there was no WiFi connection.

What a beautiful weekend away. The accommodation was outstanding and the views were stunning. The only draw back was having to drive an extra 30 minutes each to pick up and drop off the keys at Normanville. Thanks for a fabulous time.

This house has a stand-out location with beautiful views of local countryside (including kangaroos grazing at dusk & dawn, and sheep on hillside, LOTS of parrots and local birdlife) and is a nature-lover's happy place. It is a short drive from beautiful Carrickalinga Beach and more private little Myponga Beach. It's a shame linen and towels aren't included in the not-cheap price, we struggle to find enough bedding for all guests. The house itself is spacious with a nice undercover patio and furniture but could use some wardrobe/storage space- there is none.

Our stay was pleasant enough, and the views are indeed breathtaking, however the price point for this property is excessive for what you get, and we would NOT stay here again unless some significant changes are made. Several days before our arrival, the host sends a generic message requesting online check-in through their website, and asks you to upload a form of ID and input your credit card details. Basic essentials such as linen, towels, a bath mat and WiFi are not provided. This was a relatively minor inconvenience compared to the other over-the-top requests by Fleurieu Accommodation. The late check-in of 3pm and early check-out at 10am means you really don't get your money's worth for a 2-night weekend stay. To add to this, the keys to the house are located in Normanville, adding an additional 30mins round trip upon check-in and check-out. Note that you may get charged a late check-out fee. The host requests the guests to clean the house, tidy beds, empty bins and even take bins out to the kerb (if staying/ leaving on a Sunday) begging the question - "why am I paying for cleaning fees if I've done all the work?" The listing specifically notes that security cameras are not on the property, however this is a flat-out lie. There are active security cameras on the property. The house itself is comfortable enough during winter as there is a lot of natural light passively heating the space. There is also a combustion heater (no lighter or matches provided). The decor of the house however, lacks any character and is cheaply built, and stark white. Other than board games and DVDs there are no other activities or books for children. There also wasn't a portacot or high chair for smaller kids. When I contacted the host via Airbnb message during our stay, I received an automated generic response by Fleurieu Accommodation which had zero relevance to my question and was downright infuriating. For such an expensive stay, there was no personal touches such as a welcome gift, or even just some milk and jam. I've received better service staying at properties charging half the price! I was surprised there was even salt and pepper to be honest. All in all this was a significantly overpriced stay, and the host should reconsider the listing to include WiFi and other essentials if they intend to stick to this price point. The view alone is not enough to justify charging at this rate.
