When I stay somewhere on AIRBNB, the person/people hosting the place are as important as the place itself. I've stayed at many places that were five stars in my opinion, but there are less that are five stars both for the place and the person/people that host. Adrian's home in Occidental hits both marks and passes with flying colors. As for the place, if you're looking for a place where you can relax, enjoy nature, and feel at home 100%, this is your place. The pictures and descriptions really don't do justice. I feel like I've maybe gained another few years on my life thanks to Adrian's home and will be back. As for Adrian, I couldn't ask for a more helpful, cooperative, gracious, personable and considerate host. He was always there to answer questions, requests, etc. If you are in the mindset to stay in a place that will relax you and allow you to enjoy nature in an exquisite home, look no more...this is the place. Thanks so much Adrian!

The grounds and deck are beautiful, peaceful, and expansive. There's a large clearing around the house so you get sun, but you're still surrounded by soaring redwood trees and feel total privacy and quiet. Furniture is comfortable, and bathroom is awesome - the mix of the colorful tiles and windows onto nature make it feel like a luxurious outdoor shower with all the comforts of home. Kitchen had everything we needed and Adrian was quick to reply with any questions we had.

Beautiful place if you are seeking some R&R and away from city life. Well stocked kitchen, clean and an amazing background full of nature. All and all highly recommend this place. Minor note is there was a fairly large stain on couch in living room and the hot tub had a bit of an off putting odor to it. That being said minor glitches in a wonderful get away place. Family enjoyed and it was close to both the ocean and near wineries. Recommend stocking up on groceries prior as the small town grocery stores were both limited and quite expensive as they were the only game in town. Mexican restaurant in town is solid as well.
