Four Seasons is the perfect holiday spot, in the wonderful location on the side of the River Kent. Whatever the season there is always an ever-changing landscape in this beautiful area of countryside. From every window in this end-terraced cottage, you can appreciate the picture-postcard surroundings, with lovely views over the river. When the weather permits, you can enjoy al fresco dining in the garden. Four Seasons is located on the Dales Way boasting the most enchanting walk to the village of Staveley right from the doorstep. Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, Bowness and many Lake District attractions are all a short drive away. After a day of enjoying all this wonderful area has to offer you can enjoy the warmth of the wood burner in the cosy living room. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1½ miles. A lovely, well equipped, cosy cottage. Very clean and well presented. Our only issue was that we didn’t realise it was next to a large apartment complex.
The host cancelled one booking 2 days before check in so I booked another one and they cancelled that 5 hours before check in. Only got a response to one of my messages and had to go through air BnB to get refund sorted
The place is fantastic and we loved our stay. The only draw backs were: 1. Lack of fireplace tools as thr supplied ones are too small, 2. Some utensils need upgrading I.e blunt scissors, 3. Inadequate instructions to find the cottage. When it looks like a dead end with a gate, keep going to the left (behind the van if it's parked) and follow it around to the end as per the supplies instructions. We will be coming back as the downsides in way dimished the wonderful experience and location.
We arrived in the dark and the cottages are at the end of a lane that looked like a dead end and was quite tricky to find without any phone reception. Perhaps it would be good to give a more detailed description in the listing? The cottage itself is lovely and the location is beautiful, we enjoyed waking up to an amazing view of the lake and rolling green hillsides. The location is close to Kendal and Stavley, it's easy to walk (you'll need decent boots!) or get a cab to and from Kendal if you're planning a night out. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you. Ben
Nice house, good location and well equipped. Check in after 5pm not ideal and check out by 9am unreasonable
