The setting for this home could not be better. Surrounded by citrus groves, the loudest sound you may hear will be birdsong. The views towards the town of Silves are simply stunning - we have never had a better view from a kitchen window! The town is within easy reach and has all the shops that most people want to see on holiday. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. The house is fully equipped for short or long stays. The kitchen is large and contains everything that a travelling chef needs. There are even three different ways to make coffee - pods, espresso machine or a simple cafetière. Tea lovers need not worry though - there is a massive teapot and the soft water makes a delicious brew. The living space (lounge and dining room combined) are spacious and light, yet remain cool in the heat of the day. The internet connection was easy. The cellphone coverage is excellent so 4G/5G devices will work very well. We did not use the TV at all.

Sehr kalte, spartanische und lieblose Ausstattung. Kein Ort zum wohlfühlen! Duschen ist eine permanenter Versuch, sich zwischen kochend heißem und eiskaltem Wasser zu waschen. Die Gastherme läuft immer 1-2 Minuten und geht dann wieder aus. Die Klimaanlagen reichen bei 15 Grad Aussentemperatur nicht aus, das Haus zu wärmen. Kaminheizung wie beschrieben nicht möglich, da kein Holz da war. Sauberkeit grenzwertig. Boden sehr staubig, Fliesen in den Bädern und der Küche dreckig und fleckig, man darf in keine Ecken schauen! Aus den Klimaanlagen fallen fettige Staubflusen. Putzmittel nicht vorhanden. Kein Duschgel, kein Shampoo. „Grundausstattung“ wortwörtlich vorhanden: Salz genau 3x 1 Gramm, Pfeffer 1x 0,2 Gramm und Öl 12,5 ml. WLAN extrem langsam, Netflix läuft nicht.

Een ongelofelijk mooie villa tussen de sinaasappelgaarden. Te bereiken middels aan iddylisch zandpaadje. De tuin is prachtig en het uitzicht is zelfs nog mooier dan dat. Het huis zelf is sober ingericht, je ziet dat het meer gericht is op het buitenleven, maar alles is aanwezig. Het bed is heerlijk (Emma matras!). Badkamers zijn prima. Mochten wij deze regio nog eens bezoeken, dan komen we zeker terug!

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour. L'endroit est privé mais certainement pas isolé. De belles plages dans la région et Silves a tout ce dont vous avez besoin.
