I think places like this deserve to be under the heading, 'What a Good one Looks Like'. It was an absolutely beautiful property in lovely surroundings. We received such a warm welcome from Kate and Charles and they made sure we had all we needed before leaving us to it. The refreshments they had left were...well, I won't spoil it but they were much needed after a long drive and absolutely delicious. The property has all the original features and charm that you'd want from a converted barn but also has all the mod cons you need to be comfortable. Hambleden is so pretty and has some lovely walks. The pub is really nice and the staff are so friendly, we didn't have an evening meal but the breakfasts are delicious. There are so many places to walk or drive to and I can't wait to return. I would stay at Kate and Charles property again without hesitation.

Charles and Kate were very kind hosts. The cottage is well-managed and boasts family heritage in every corner of it. An ideal cottage located in a beautiful village.

Great accommodation in such an idyllic setting in the Hambledon Valley. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately they never received our airbnb emails and visa versa, but we got there okay had a great stay anyway.

Jo, myself and our dog Barnaby thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing long Easter weekend at Pheasants Hill Old Byre. This beautifully converted outbuilding was full of character, creature comforts and homely warmth. Owners Kate & Charles couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The Hambleden valley is an absolute jewel too and ideal for walking. With Hambleden village within easy reach, we hardly used the car at all. Overall, a perfect rural getaway with the Chilterns, river Thames, Henley and Marlow all on your doorstep.

This is a charming little converted cowshed situated across the garden from the owners house. On arrival Kate greeted us and showed us to the parking space, and then took us around the Old Byre. There are plenty of lovely little touches and it's a very cosy and welcoming space. Our stay in February was made very comfortable by modern and powerful central heating, a great shower, a fully kitted-out kitchen and a comfortable bed. The TV and wifi kept us entertained when we were putting our feet up from the numerous countryside walks available around Pheasants Hill. Charles and Kate were great hosts and we had a fantastic time here, we'd be more than happy to return again some day.
