Nice place but just needs a little TLC. The host is lovely, there are plenty of amenities and nothing really you are left missing to enable you to use everything in the house… There’s an abundance of space and it was lovely to have an arrival pack for us when we got there. I would say that the whole place could do with a deep clean and a little maintenance (shower door on the verge of falling off, back door sticking, hedges around gate to be trimmed back). All in all we enjoyed our stay.

The house was very spacious and suited our needs. Comfortable beds. Cosy and warm. Kitchen well-equipped. Wi-Fi signal good. Lots of lovely canal-side walks nearby.

Place was okay. Able to do some good walks from the house & some lovely pubs/ food nearby. Cleanliness could have been better, mould on fridge, freezer, washing machine seals was very unpleasant. Saw on previous reviews complaints re shower doors that don’t close . Not been resolved for months & shower head / Waterflow is poor. Microwave & radiators dirty. Small dishwasher. Shower very , very small , felt claustrophobic. Would be very difficult if 6/8 people there. Had not realised it was right on the road so a lot of traffic noise. Short walk to canal which was good but through a grim derelict trading park. Train timetables On notice board were from 2015- lack of attention to detail.

Enjoy our stay, particularly watching birds at the bird feeder and the short walk to the canals and Tesco.

A very spacious and characterful property a 15min walk from Whaley Bridge and similar to the local pub with good ale and decent food. Both accessed along pretty canal towpath a couple of minutes from the property. Plenty of kitchen equipment, good cooker and fridges and also stacks of really hot water. The spa bath in the ensuite looks great (although we didnt use it during our weekend). Rik was very accommodating and communication was first class. Accurate directions to property also helps with a positive start to any break. Driveway is a bit tricky but the road isn't too busy so you can take time and care. We were 6 adults but there is so much space we didn't feel like we couldn't escape eachother when required. We would definitely return if we are in the area again.
