Beautifully comfortable rooms that provided a great night's sleep. Ideally located for walking into town and then onto the races. The hosts were very welcoming and the delightful continental breakfast topped off our stay nicely. Will definitely look to book again for our next visit to the races.
Really pleasant stay at Karyn's place. She was very welcoming when we arrived and made sure that we had everything for our stay. She was very easy to contact and the place itself was very luxurious and clean.

Hello & welcome to our home in the heart of British horse racing. Whether your visiting one of the 2 racecourses, attending a wedding, conference or just here for a break, you’re sure to find everything you need. We live in a quiet part of Newmarket 5 minutes drive from the Town Centre, Tattersall’s, Newmarket racecourse & the Train station. The house used to belong to Frankie Dettorri and his wife Catherine and after that Barney Curley ( a well known trainer in Newmarket ) Barney made his first million by raffling off his house ( £10.00 a ticket ) which was left to him in Ireland. Frankie and Barney swapped houses with Barney living in Newmarket and Frankie living in a nearby village. I now live here with my husband and 2 teenage children. We have 1 'usually' very well behaved Labrador & 3 chickens! ( Fresh eggs for breakfast yummy) ! The bedroom & bathroom is fresh & airy & has recently been decorated to a high standard. I use the highest quality white company bedding & towels. I am happy to provide a continental breakfast if requested at time of booking for £5.00 pp ( payment on arrival) Which will consist of ~ croissants, toast, local jams & honey from the bees in our garden along with fresh fruit, yogurt & fruit juice. In our fight against pollution we have stopped providing plastic bottles of water in the rooms, however if you would like a bottle of water or a jug of water then please just ask. If I am around and you require a lift to the race course ( for a fee of £10,00 ) or into town then please just ask and I’ll be happy to take you. We also have a twin room listed with an en-suite please see my other listing. We are looking to share our home with friendly people who will respect our home. Please contact me for more details. Come as strangers leave as friends. Karyn x P.S whilst we’d love to have your four legged friend stay with us, we do not allow dogs in the bedrooms. Your pooch is welcome to stay in the kitchen with our friendly Labrador or there is an outside kennel for your use. Please let us know if your pooch will be travelling with you before booking.
