Place stunk of mould and in an accessible cupboard there was mouse poison and located under a chest of drawers as well in a bedroom. Hokes filled by paper and cardboard for mice but not working as mice poo found. Mouldy sheet on one bed and toilet says ‘take it as it comes’!! Toilet was mouldy and shower curtain mouldy. One horrible stay and left on 3 RD day to stay in a hotel as smell was so bad and after seeing the mouse poison that was enough. What if a child stays there, surely that is not right? Carpets were worn and advertised as whole place to yourselves but one room is locked and god a lot of dust and awful place. Do not stay there!! I have taken many pictures and will be using these to write to the local council and environmental offices as they should not be using mouse or rat poison insecurely, I would hate to think what could happen if a child found it!! Unbelievable and will be seeking my money back.

We had a lovely time and enjoyed the cottage location. There were some minor drawbacks though - the shower is a bit ridiculous considering the money being charged. The dishwasher doesn't work and the electric fan heater is about as effective as a hair dryer when trying to heat the lounge area.

Perfectly situated and comfortable cottage near Drumbeg. We enjoyed walks along the beaches behind the house, trips to Handa Island and the far north. You need to be ready to self cater! The local shop has a goid range of basic and luxury groceries and ice cream. The local pub is drinks only.

A lovely rustic cottage set in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, plenty of charm, warm and cosy after a full day exploring, fishing, beaches, walking it was perfect to return and relax.

Property is in fantastic remote location with good private garden and parking. Short walk to shop and hotel bar. Garden was full of sheep faeces due to the gate been lazily left open. Not ideal for dogs and kids to play in. Property is in need of some serious TLC. Very small hot water tank only allows for half a bath of hot water at a time and shower is completely useless due to location (tap also didn’t work). Cleanliness in living room could be much improved but was okay in bedrooms and bathroom. Was also a washing machine, small tumble dryer and small tabletop dishwasher which was handy. FYI bring your own detergent and dishwasher tablets! Overall okay but could be so much better with some extra care, attention to detail and a little investment.
